Shark Bait's New Area/ New Companion/ And a New Truck

A New Area and a new companion has made for a crazy week!! Elder Hardy is my new companion and we are both the Zone Leaders of the island of Efate. Elder Hardy is has only been in the area and a Zone Leader for about a month so we are having to figure out a lot of things together.

When I first arrived in the area I was introduced to Debroah. Who is the Zone Leader's new 2017 Grey Truck. Elder Hardy and I love having her be part our team! ;) Our House is right next to the church and we just have to walk outside to be able to go to church.

Our new area is called Blacksand. There are tons of members in our area and they have been very willing to help us with the work and even feed us. We have spent a lot of our time contacting and trying to find new people to teach because we both don't know the area all that well yet. We have also discovered that in our area there is an ice cream factory called Sweeties. We first park the truck, go and try and talk to everyone we can and get return appointments, and then get some ice cream afterwards. It is a very nice system and Elder Hardy and I are were able to meet nine new people to teach.

Zone Conference is also coming up next week and we will need to plan it out. Neither of us have done it before so we will be trying our best and we are confident the Lord will help us. I am learning a lot that in missionary work you just have to try. Many times I am unsure of how to do things. This just means you have to dig in and get it done. When we put in our effort Our Heavenly Father sees our efforts and will grant us help. I encourage you to remember He is not far. He wants to help and teach us. As you make and effort He will extend all of His power to provide and protect you.

Know that I am doing well. I am being challenged but relying on Our Heavenly Father. I love being a missionary and doing His work. I want my family to know that I love them and am praying for them. I am so proud of all of you.

Much love,

Elda LaMont/ Shark Bait/ Your Alekken Ty/ Island Boy
